Adults

At Moss Vale Anglican, our vision is to create a place for adults to learn more about Jesus, connect with others, and help them continue on their journey of discipleship and disciple making. We place an importance on gathering with other Christians for encouragement, support, prayer, Bible study, shared mission, and ministry.

Men’s #KeepTheFeast Bible Reading Challenge

V6d4CE6A

Read the Bible with men from Moss Vale Anglican, Christ Church Moscow, Idaho,  and around the world. Invite your friends!

The goal of our plan is to encourage you to be in the Word every day. We want to encourage you to read all of God’s Word and say no to the “verse of the day.” As Christians, we have been called to a life that abounds in joy, but in which suffering and trials cannot be avoided. The verse of the day will never be enough to give us the strength to persevere, to be encouraged, and to help us find joy in the valley and contentment on the hard days. We need Word-saturated lives if we want to live in the victory of Christ.
In this plan, we will read our Bibles every day of the week, except on Sundays because you will be going to your local church to listen to the Word of God proclaimed and sung. We have catch-up days interspersed throughout the plan in key places, normally after reading a long book. Catch up days are also great for inviting more friends to jump into the reading with us. If you are current on the weekly readings, you can do the suggested optional readings.
Something that makes our plan unique is that we firmly believe that we can defeat the bad habit of not coming to the Word by actually being in the Word. This means that if you miss a few days, or a week, or a month, instead of feeling super guilty about it and quitting altogether, you just jump in on the day’s reading. We defeat the Accuser and our flesh with the Word of God. And so instead of quitting, we take the Book of God and read it to silence vain accusations, our worldly thoughts, and our anxious thoughts. God will always welcome us and will never let us go away empty.
Join us in the #keepthefeast Bible Reading Challenge September 9th ( or anytime afterwards – just jump in!) as we read through the bible together.

It’s never too late to start. Just Jump In! Find today’s date, and read today’s assigned reading.
